Liuba Lencova Besheva

Mrs. Liuba Lencova Besheva received her LL.B. from the University of Buenos Aires in 2002.

Mrs. Lencova obtained an LLM in Business Law from the Austral University in 2005 with the thesis: “El pacto de sindicación de acciones como fideicomiso” (Shareholders Agreement as a trust agreement) and an LLM in Tax Law from the same university in 2013 with the thesis: “El fideicomiso al costo. Su tratamiento en los principales impuestos nacionales” (The trust agreement in construction contracts at fixed cost. Their tax treatment).

Mrs. Lencova has a Postgraduate Diploma in Law of Civil and Commercial Procedures and did other postgraduates’ courses on Real Estate Transactions, Trust agreements and Capital Market at the Austral University.

From 2003 to 2019, Mrs. Lencova served as Assistant Professor of Business Law in the Chapter lead by Dr. Rovira at the School of Law of the University of Buenos Aires. Currently, she is Assistant Professor in Corporate Law in the Chapter lead by Dr. Mizrahi at the School of Law of the University of Buenos Aires.

Mrs. Lenvoca has integrated several juries of LLM thesis at the Austral University and has also been a visiting Professor at this university and the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina.

Mrs. Lencova was a member of the advisory staff of former congressman and then senator Federico Pinedo. As advisor to congressman Federico Pinedo, she coordinated the Committee for the reform of the Criminal Code and in the Committee for the amendment of the Insolvency Law, currently passed as new law, in the National Chamber of Deputies; and was designated as Secretary of the Committee for the reform of the General Corporate Law.

Mrs. Lencova is member of the Argentine Association of Tax Studies, San Isidro Bar Association, Buenos Aires Bar Association and the Argentine Institute of Commercial Law.

Mrs. Lencova served as a member of the Board and Technical Committee of the Cámara Argentina de Fideicomisos y Fondos de Inversión Directa en Actividades Productivas from 2003 to 2009. As well as been invited as speaker in several conferences and seminars on corporate law.

She speaks, reads and writes in Spanish, Bulgarian, Russian and English.

Nicolás Zaballa

Nicolás Zaballa

Mr. Nicolás Zaballa received his law degree with honors at the University of Buenos Aires, specialized in international law.

Mr. Zaballa obtained an LLM in Economic Regulation from the Austral University with the thesis: “La expropiación pública y la protección de inversions extranjeras” (Public expropriation and protection of foreign investment).

Mr. Zaballa has a Postgraduate Diploma in Arbitration from the Austral University and did other postgraduates’ courses on EU Law (University of Alcalá de Henares, Spain), International Trade and Negotiation (ICBC Foundation, Argentina), Agribusiness Law and Regulation (Austral University, Argentina) and Compliance & Anti-bribery management systems (IRAM, Argentina).

He has high experience in corporate and governmental affairs, mergers and acquisitions, negotiation and drafting of contracts, project development and finance, complex litigation and international and domestic commercial arbitration.

He took part in several arbitrations under the ICC Rules and the UNCITRAL Rules, before both the General Arbitration Tribunal of the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange as well as the General Arbitration and Mediation Tribunal of the Colegio de Escribanos de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires and ad-hoc arbitrations.

He has also served as Legal Advisor of the Secretary and Under Secretary of Commerce in Argentina and as Under Secretary of Entrepreneurs, Small and Medium-Size Enterprises and Cooperatives in the Ministry of Production of the Province of Buenos Aires.

Mr. Zaballa is a current member of the Institute of International Law and coordinator of the Working Group of Commercial and Economic Integration of the Argentine Council for International Relations (CARI).
