Academic background

  • 01Mrs. Liuba Lencova Besheva received her LL.B. from the University of Buenos Aires in 2002.
  • 02Mrs. Lencova obtained an LL.M. in Business Law from the Austral University in 2005 with the thesis: "El pacto de sindicación de acciones como fideicomiso" (Shareholders Agreement as a trust agreement) and an LL.M. in Tax Law from the same university in 2013 with the thesis: "El fideicomiso al costo. Su tratamiento en los principales impuestos nacionales" (The trust agreement in fixed costs construction contracts. Their tax treatment).
  • 03Mrs. Lencova has a Postgraduate Diploma in Law of Civil and Commercial Procedures and attended other postgraduate courses on Real Estate Transactions, Trust agreements and Capital Market at the Austral University.

Professional experience

  • 01From 2003 to 2019, Mrs. Lencova served as Assistant Professor of Business Law in the chapter lead by Dr. Rovira at the School of Law of the University of Buenos Aires.
  • 02Assistant Professor in Corporate Law in the Chapter lead by Dr. Guillermo Mizrahi at the School of Law of the University of Buenos Aires.
  • 03Mrs. Lencova has integrated several juries of LL.M. thesis at the Austral University and has also been a visiting Professor at Austral University, and the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina post graduate courses.
  • 04From 2003 to 2009, Mrs. Lencova served as a member of the Board and Technical Committee of the Cámara Argentina de Fideicomisos y Fondos de Inversión Directa en Actividades Productivas.
  • 05Mrs. Lencova has extensive experience in corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, negotiation and drafting of contracts, complex litigation and arbitration.

Public service

  • 01Mrs. Lencova was a member of the advisory staff of former congressman and then senator Federico Pinedo.
  • 02Mrs. Lencova has coordinated the Committee for the reform of the Criminal Code and was a member of the Steering Committee for the amendment of the Insolvency Law, currently passed as new law, in the National Chamber of Deputies.
  • 03Mrs. Lencova was appointed Secretary of the Committee for the reform of the General Corporate Law.

  • 01Mr. Nicolás Zaballa received his law degree with honors at the University of Buenos Aires, specialized in international law.
  • 02Mr. Zaballa obtained an LL.M. in Economic Regulation from the Austral University with the thesis: "La expropiación pública y la protección de inversiones extranjeras" (Public expropriation and protection of foreign investments).
  • 03Mr. Zaballa has a Postgraduate Diploma in Arbitration from the Austral University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Criminal Law and Compliance from the Austral University and attended other postgraduate courses on EU Law (University of Alcalá de Henares, Spain), International Trade and Negotiation (ICBC Foundation, Argentina), Agribusiness Law and Regulation (Austral University, Argentina) and Compliance & Anti-bribery management systems (IRAM, Argentina).

  • 01He has extensive experience in corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, negotiation and drafting of contracts, project development and finance, complex litigation and international and domestic commercial arbitration.
  • 02He took part in several arbitrations under the ICC Rules and the UNCITRAL Rules, before both the General Arbitration Tribunal of the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange as well as the General Arbitration and Mediation Tribunal of the Colegio de Escribanos de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires and other ad-hoc arbitrations.
